cake

I went to the cake shop, DENMARK THE ROYAL CAFE, with my friends last Tuesday. I knew the shop by friend's book. I ordered the cake, ROYAL PLINCESS with blended coffee. It was very cute, so I said "cawaii---!!!" when the cake was carried and I saw it. In addition, it was very delicious and tasted bittersweet strawberry. Then the design of shop interior was cute and it has looked fairyland. If I have a chance to go to there again, I want to eat apple crumble cake.

Love language

Japanese express Love language with gift. For example Japanese more often give souvenir. According to Hutton's date, the Japanese travelers came to US, accounting for only 7.2 percent of all foreign travelers, have expenditures amounting to 14.2 percent of the total, contrasting other country travelers. In addition, Japanese always buy souvenir for family, friends and more, when they go to Disney Land. However American don't buy souvenir when they travel. That' way, Japanese express "Love language" with souvenir, but American express "Love Language" in word, "I love you" and touching, hugging and kissing.

About a good place

Lalaport TOKYO-BAY is one of the largest shopping mall in Japan and leads a large shopping mall in Japan. Lalaport was built in 1981 and refers Ala Moana Center in Hawaii. Before standing it, there was “Funabashi health center”, which had been leisure center, including spa, artificial beach, pool, theater, golf course, museum, amusement ground and more. On opening day, about 40 thousand people waited in line before the opening of a shop. Eventually, about 250 thousand people visited there in that day. About 12 million people visited there in first year and there had been about 200 shops in those days. Then it has expanded business, so SSAWS, the largest indoor ski ground in world, opened in 1993 (But it closed in 2003). In the current of generation, it has had competitor, for example aeon Lake town in Saitama, Osaka station city, Costco, IKSPIARI. However, it has increased ability to attract customers of local, so has tended to increase the number of visitors before. Now there are about 540 shops, for example clothes shop, restaurant, theater, cooking school, general store and more. Lalaoprt TOKYO-BAY has been popular by people called “lalapo ” and it is the place where everybody will have a good time.

T or F

When I was the fourth grader in an elementary school, I became a champion of double skip (it’s called “nizyu-tobi” in Japanese) in a rope skipping contest. I practiced on double skip many times until the day. Surprisingly, I jumped 113times the day. I jumped this first time. I was jumping, I might get a cramp in my leg and lose my breath, but I was cheered by my classmates. I was so happy, so I could do my best. It’s my unforgettable memory.

When I was playing basketball for class of high school, I injured my left eye. When I was trying to catch a ball under the goal, the competitor's elbow hit under my left eye. I was stupefied a moment. Of course, my left eye became red and under my left eye swelled like small fill. Unfortunately, the day was the day before of an interview of this university, so I cried for a long time. Then I went to hospital and I took a medicine. The nest day, I had the interview, having a bandage over my eye. I was asked "what's the matter?" by interviewer.

Vietnam

I ate Vietnam cuisine at lunch time. Vietnam cuisine is well-known for "Pho" and "summer roll (it is called "nama-harumaki" in Japanese)".  Pho is a Vietnamese noodle soup. Summer roll is a Vietnamese salad roll. Its ingredients are wrapped in rice paper. In addition, Vietnam cuisine is often seasoned by herbs, for example coriander, dokudami, and basil. Especially coliander may be peculiar taste, but it will produce good taste. I want to eat Vietnam cuisine again.

Oh my gosh!

I made a foolish mistake first period, English communication today. I was asked "How long does it take commute to university?", so I wanted to answer "about 40 minutes". But I answered "about 40 hours". (Oh my gosh!) I was very ashamed. In addition, I thought that "Where do I live?" if I take 40 hours to commute to university.

Lifestyle

I had a class, English conversation, first period. We talked about Lifestyle and Personality. I learned the difference of university students' lifestyle in U.S.A and Japan. According to teacher, the ratio of "roommates" in U.S.A is 80%, "live alone" is 10%, and "with family" is 10%.  I think that the ratio of "roommates" in Japan is considerably lower than U.S.A. I live with my family and I think it is common, so I was surprised to know about the difference.

shopping♡

It was happy today, because I went shopping in LaQua with Akari.  We decided to go to there during lunch time today,

so I looked forward to going there and thought what to buy for the third period. 

 I bought clothes in earth music and ecology.  It's one of my favorite brands.  In addition, it's popular now because the image advertising is Aoi Miyazaki.  Her air and brand's image match.  I want to buy clothes there again.  

My summer vacation

 My summer vacation was very massive. First, I worked part-time many times. I worked five days a week in average. I was hard but I had a sense of achievement. Second, I went to concert with my friend first time. It was J Soul Brothers.  The concert was hold at Saitama Super Arena. It was very fun. Third, I went to a club camp at the Olympic Center in Shinjuku. I belong to tea ceremony club. I drank "matcha" many times. Finally I watched foreign films many times. For example, New York I Love You, Love Actually, Confessions of a shopaholic, The Devil Wears Prada and more. Especially I like The Devil Wears Prada. That's way my vacation was very massive.

parfait

 I went to Ginza and Yurakucho with my friend. We saw many clothing shops where are sold clothing of autumn. I want to buy one-piece and mouton's boot. Then we went to DALLOYAU and ate macaron parfait. I ate it first time and it was very delicious. This shop is well-known for macaron. The parfait flavor is framboise and citron. I was very happy to eat it.

origami

 I got a rose made by origami by club senior.  In addition, I was taught how to fold "rose" by her. It's very beautiful but very difficult to make it.  I had a time this morning, so I challenged to make "rose" by origami.  However I couldn't make it, because I forgot how to fold it on the way. It was very difficult after all. I want to make it someday.

September 3rd

I went to Tokyo Disney SEA with my friends using starlight passport. 

 I looked forward to going Disney SEA but I worried to go there because the typhoon came to Japan. Fortunately, we weren't  in for rain. In addition there weren't very people, so we could ride many attractions. I had a good time.

club

I had a club camp at Olympic center, Sangubashi last week. I belong to tea ceremony club. The camp started at 8:00, so I had to get up at 5:00. I was very sleepy because I got up at 9:00  until  the  camp day.  I made  and  drank matcha many times. 
I wore "yukata" last day because we opened tea ceremony. I was very happy to wear "yukata".

August 4th

I went to the concert of J Soul Brothers held at Saitama Super Arena with my friends. The title was "EXILE TRIBE ~a second-generation J Soul brothers VS a third-generation J Soul Brothers Live Tour 2011~". I went to a concert for the first time. Fortunately our seats were arena seat and were near from the stage. Their performance was impressive. I was happy to directly see members who usually appear on television.

August 1st

 I  went  to  Omote-sando  with  my  friends  of   the  Faculty  of  International   Studies.  We went  to  there  to  eat   smoothie  at  GODIVA.  I  ordered  "Chocolixir Lemon Cream". It was plain taste. In addition, the day was very boiling, so it was very delicious. By the way, she's from Tochigi prefecture and she usually lives herself in Tokyo. This summer, she will go back her parents' home and go to drivers' school. Hearing "Tochigi", the foods, tochiotome (it's a kind of strawberry) and gyoza, come into my mind. I've never been to Tochigi prefecture, so I want to go there.

July 30th

  I went to Shinjuku to eat dinner with my friends. It was the last day of the exams and I was very happy. One of my friends studies abroad in China, so we gave her a bag. It was a surprise present. She was really amazing and she was very pleased. I also felt happy. By now, she will be in China.

Vending machines

 I think that the number of vending machines, especially drink’s vending machine, should be decreased. The first reason is that there are too many vending machines in Japan. According to JAPAN VENDIND MACHINE MANUFACTURE ASSOCIATHION, the number of the drink vending machines in 2010 is 2,591,200 and it is increasing than 2009. In addition, Japan is the country where there are most vending machines in the world, because the public peace is safe comparing other countries. Some people say that vending machines are very useful and can buy something to drink anytime. However, there are many cases that there are plural vending machines at a spot and it has a case that there are every 10 meters on the street. The second reason is vending machines are used many electric powers. Some people say the light is useful for crime prevention. However, the electricity consumption of a vending machine is about 500W~1000W.  Moreover, the electricity consumption is increasing by the compressor to heat and ice, a few of light of 40W to advertise it, and the working for 24 hours. For example, if the power consumption per one is assumed to be 1.0KW, the electric power of 5million KW will be consumed. The vending machine will use the power consumption of one nuclear power plant for this. The third reason is that it will decrease a chance to communicate with people if the vending machines increase. Many Japanese seem like it because they may not meet salesperson when they buying something to drink. Then the community may be estranged. That’s way the number of vending machines should be decreased.

Guava

   I went to LAWSON near my house yesterday and there are many delicious sweets at LAWSON.   I bought Premium pink grapefruit's roll cake with Guava sauce. The roll cake has many kinds of taste, but I ate Guava taste first time. It may be Limited time offer. It was delicious and had a little acid taste.  I want to eat it again.

Before studying

   I finished a class only first period, so I watched Ayu's Live DVD, Rock'n'Roll Circus Tour FINAL ~7 days special~, eating lunch at home. The concert was held in October 11, 2011 at Yoyogi.  Her songs and performance make me happy. In addition, Ayu's dancers are attractive too. However,  I have never been to go to her concert, so I want to the concert someday.

   It's boiling today, so I introduce Ayu's summer song, glitter, was released in July 18,2007 and filmed in Hong Kong.  In addition, Shawn Yue, Chinese movie star,  appears in the music video. The story is that Ayu who came to Hong Kong to promote herself and Shawn who is guard for her fall in love in Hong Kong. Eventually...the story isn't happy end.

At disaster area...

   Do you know that books are good seller at disaster area of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami?  I heard about this class of magazine culture today.  According to teacher, especially photographic collection of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami sell well because the victims didn't know the damage of other area well.  They couldn't watch TV and it was as much as they guard their life that day.  In addition, other reason is to tell the damage to next generation and not to forget what happen on March 11.  I was surprised to hear about selling well photographic collection of March 11 at disaster area because I thought that they don't remember about earthquake and tsunami on March 11.

How to make "matcha"

    The tea ceremony ( that is called "sado" by Japanese) is one of symbolic culture in Japan. It's easy to make powdered green tea (that is matcha in Japanese).  First, you put about two scoops of matcha into bowl with tea scoop.  You had better to strain matcha to produce mild taste.  The second step is to pour boiling water into bowl.   The temperature is about 80 degrees.   If the water is lukewarm, matcha don't match with water.  Finally, you make tea with tea whisk attaching your left hand by bowl until the surface bubbles.  When you make tea using tea whisk, you had better move only your wrist.  If you drink matcha for the first time, you may feel that it is bitter.

 Today I had an examination of Life English Conversation in the first period. Before starting the exam, I went to school store to buy cafe au lait. And then I found annin caramel by chance. Of course I bought it and it was very delicious. It may become one of my favorite sweets. If you have a chance to eat annin caramel, please eat it.

Summer Song

Recently it's very hot. In addition, it's hard to safeguard my skin against sunburn. However, there are many events in summer. For example, summer festival, fireworks, and more. I introduce Ayu's summer song. If you watch the PV, you'll want to go in the sea. The title is "BLUE BIRD". It was released in June 21, 2006.

Collecting

    I  went  to  go  shopping  in  my  hometown  Funabashi  and  went

to there to after a long time. When I go to LOFT, I always go to seal corner because there are many kind of seals there. Of course I bought some seals yesterday. One of my hobbies may be to collect seal.    

These are seals that I bought at LOFT yesterday. Left seal is made from cloth. Right is national flag seal and I'm going to stick them on Korean, Chinese, and English note.

  I bought a fashion magazine in other day and I like a fashion magazine, so I buy non-no which is one of woman's fashion magazine every month. Moreover I have a class of magazine culture this year. The class teacher, Atsuko Tomikawa,  was an editor in chief―anan, Hanako, BLUTUS, Esquire of Japan edition. She likes a magazine very much. I learned about a magazine advertising last class. According to her, the advertising of the forth cover* is the most important and it is a symbol of the magazine status. That is way, I examined of the forth cover of  the fashion magazine which I have ever bought. As a result of this examination, it was the advertising of COACH, Volkswagen, SUBARU, ANNA SUI, SEIKO, KOSE and more. They are all major company in Japan or world. In addition, the second cover** has many cases of cosmetic advertising. The cosmetic company which most spent the advertising cost in 2009 was SHISEIDO. The rank of below the second was CHANEL, Kanebo, Kose, and Christian Dior. Anything else, the next page of car's advertising must not insert the advertising of beer because it is associated with "drinking-drive".  I'm interested in magazine advertising, so I want to know about it more.

Ray

   Today, I bought a fashion magazine, Ray, because the cover girl is GIRLS GENERATION which is Korean girls group.  I like GIRLS GENERATION and I'm attracted by their style, dance, song, and personality. The girls group debuted in 2007 and the member is nine, TeaYeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, HyoYeon, YuRi, SooYoung, YoonA, SeoHyun.  The average of their height is 163.8cm! They are around not only as a singer but also as an actress, TV performer, and more.  In addition, they can speak English, Chinese, Japanese, too. They drive for doing their activity in the world.  I want to see their performance someday.

Dinner♪

      Yesterday  I went  to  Korean  restaurant  near my  house  to  eat  "yakiniku"  with  my  family. I ate beef tongue, kalbi, hormone,  finally  I  ate "kuppa" which is one of my favorite Korean food.  In this connection "Kut" means "soup" and "pap" means "rice" in Korean.  I want to go to Korea next summer because I have never been to Korea. 

ice cream

 I bought Haagen-Dazs Creamy Annin at convenience store today. I was very happy when I found it, because I love annin.  This is way the title of this blog is "almond jelly". However I haven't eaten it yet, so I want to eat it early.

Shopping

   I went shopping in Yurakucho ITOCiA which is a shopping center. Incidentally there is Krispy Kreme Doughnut in the first basement. I went to there to buy new clothing and new sandal, and looked forward to shopping since yesterday.  It was on summer sale at the shopping center, so I felt that it is early to start summer sale. What do you know?  Today, I bought tops, skirt, and a pare of sandals. I like them. By the way, I always have a difficult time finding shoes which fit closely my feet because I take a size 25.0 shoe or LL size.  In addition I can't buy favorite shoes easily,so if you know the shop where there are large shoes, please tell me.

STARBUCKS

　I go to Starbucks with my friends every Thursday morning because I have no second period. I make a preparation of class for third piriod there. My favorite Starbucks's menu is white mocha and Caramel Macchiato. I really like coffee and often drink cafe au lait, and I have a reason that I often drink cafe au lait, it is to wake up.

       I  have a sore throat and rough voice, so I wore a mask today. However, it was very hot and I felt tired becouse it's 31 degrees today. After I finished working part-time job as a casher in supermarket, one worker said me "Are you sakeyake?", becouse I have rough voice. No!No!No! Of course it is joke! I hope that my cold cures early.

How to make powdered green tea

Boil water to approximately 200 degrees, under boiling point.

Discard it and boil the bowl very carefully.

Measure ½ to 2 scoops of powder for Usucha and 15 scoops for Koicha.

Pour hot water into the bowl.

　Today I went to Ginza to buy birthday present of my friends after the first period. There were many people although it is weekday morning. When I stood watching for the signal to change to green, I heard the conversation of Korean women. I didn't understand what they said. I want to be able to understand Korean conversation because I have the class of Korea this year.

Library

　Today,I went to the International Library of  Children's Literature. Because I have a homework to visit the National Library. The library is so magnificent. In addition there are many books for children. However,there are not children but many high school students and colledge students. I thought that they might come the library to do a homework too.
